GTX680 when support? and problem with 9600GT #7

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

I know that are instructions in 'howtoinstallcuda.txt' but the same problem i
have in nVidia GT9600 and GTX 680

Compiler in nvcc is gcc 4.4
When You support GTX 680? on 295 drivers and toolkit 4.2?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
./Cuda.cu(189): Warning: Cannot tell what pointer points to, assuming global
memory space

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
First comp:
Backtrack RC2 x86_64 kernel 2.6.39.4
nVidia driver 295.59
nvcc -V Cuda release 4.2
GeForce GTX 680

Second comp:
Backtrack RC2 x86_64 kernel 2.6.39.4
NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-285.05.09.run
cudatoolkit_4.1.28_linux_64_ubuntu11.04.run
GeForce 9600GT

Please provide any additional information below.

Can you compile truecrack? the message is only a warning, not an error.
However I haven't these boards to try now (GTX 680 costs about $500 and we
haven't any donation). I developed and lunched truecrack under series GTX 3 and
4. The new architecture is more powerful and is equipment with more memory and
cuda cores. So we are working at the new version of the software and at the end
of next month will be available. I hope that you will like the new optimization.

Compilation is possible with GPU=false, but it's not the point :)
I am glad that the project goes as quickly and efficiently...
I hope that i'll be the first beta-tester new truecrack on GTX-680 platform
