MM text flickers under some configurations of Windows XP #6

Flicker-free drawing of "ko" is fine, but the actual MM "ko" flickers. Not 
sure why this is... and it's only on some computers.

Re-assigning labels. I still have no idea what's going on, but in the worst 
case, we
can render to a GDI surface instead of a text box...

Instead of text boxes and statics, I just rendered directly to the surface of 
the
window. (After buffering it to a background bitmap... this minimizes all risk of
flickering.) This introduces a few minor quirks, but it's worth it to fix this 
bug.

I don't have access to the computer that caused this in the first place, but I'm
marking it fixed. Future testing will show if it resurfaces.
