Support for SDD1 games #6

I've tried to emulate the game "Street Fighter Alpha 2", which uses an
enhacement chip called SDD1
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Super_NES_enhancement_chips#S-DD1) on my
RPi with null result.
Apparently, Snes9x v1.39 is capable of running these games if you put two files
in the freeze directory. I've assumed that the freeze directory is the same as
the snapshot directory (at least is the same in the Windows version). The
result of the emulation is a black screen, you can exit, save states, etc. but
no game at all. This works perfectly in the Windows version.
I've also tried to put these files in the ROM directory with the same null
result.
As I've read, this problem is solved in the Dingoo version, but I don't know if
the pisnes port supports this enhacement chip

If you need information about this, these are the posts I've read about:
http://www.cherryroms.co.uk/forums/emulation-forum/street-fighter-alpha-2-graphi
c-pack.html (an old one, with the trick to make it work in Windows)

support-(snes9x-sdl-1-3-9ff_ver20100221)/

Also, it would be nice to know what enhacement chips are supported

I think there's only two games that use the SDD1 chip, and it would be a lot of
work to get that working for just those. I did have a quick look to see if it
was possible but it turned out to be a lot of work. So currently I have no
plans to support it - but I may have another look if I get some time. Thanks
for the links, they are useful.

I believe it supports all except SDD1 and FX games.

There are only two games that uses SDD1: "Street fighter alpha 2" and "Star
Ocean".

You might delete or modify changes.txt file. The first point of the file says
it can emulate that chip (I guess you used the linux version and you didn't
noticed)

Thanks for the attention
