@double-beep thanks for the PR. I think it might be best to keep this feature for now; like you said, SOX's method is much more apparent and I think the timeline entry is mainly for historical purposes rather than knowing 'live' if it is hot or not.
Sorry for not merging it, but thanks for your time in submitting the PR!
Also thanks for telling me about this feature! It seems like SE now provide the data in the API, so the SOX feature could use the API rather than using the (rather hacky, IMO) CORS proxy that it is right now! I'll get that done soon (or you could submit a PR for that if you want 😛)
OK, fetching the info in this way must be easier and faster I suppose.
The option is now no longer needed as per this MSE post and therefore I went forward and removed it.
I am not sure, though, if it was really appropriate. The current design is more obvious than SE's one, so people can understand faster if a question is HNQ or not.
The final say is yours, of course.
