Revert commits introduced in PR 205 (grating move duration) #209

This reverts all commits that went in PR 205. This is in view on the failures in regression testing due to this PR, and the fact that we want to get 2021.12 out with web server fixes.

Testing

[x] Passes unit tests on linux
[x] Functional testing - confirmed dpa_check module tests passed again
