Description

inPowered is seeking a brilliant engineer to hands-on lead our back-end engineering team. The candidate will own the delivery of all back-end initiatives and manage a team of senior engineers. Will work closely with our CTO to design and implement new systems, maintain operations of the production systems and to coordinate work across all the initiatives of the Engineering team. The candidate will operate in a distributed architecture building the infrastructure to manage Big Data and solve complex algorithmic problems. Will maintain in-depth knowledge of the organization's technologies and architectures. Will develop and enforce best practices for master data management and development. Will act as the focal point for his team. The ideal candidate is a passionate developer with significant experience in designing and building complex systems. Capable of providing extraordinary output in terms of quantity and quality.

Responsibilities

Own the delivery of all back-end initiatives
Provide technical guidance and lead code reviews to drive the team to the highest standards
Autonomously develop and deliver key new features for our back-end systems
Improve performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and flexibility of our back-end systems
Deliver code in an agile team environment
Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development

Requirements

7+ years’ experience in Java
Proven leadership experience
Ability to work independently and with teams
Extensive experience with Service Oriented Architectures
Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL
Extensive experience with unit test frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and TestNG
Familiarity with AWS and Docker
Strong analytical skills
