Modengine 2 Elden Ring crashes before title screen #186

With both a fresh install of modengine2 with no mods (outside of the game folder), and an instance of modengine2 inside the game folder (launcher renamed as start_protected_game.exe), I cannot reach the title screen. The game will open for 5-10 secs with a white screen and in-game cursor, then crash.

The vanilla game runs fine. My objective is to run the convergence mod and nothing else. I've tried the following: reinstalling the game, every FAQ note in the convergence discord, moving my installation outside of windows protected folders, everything on reddit and on this issue repo.

My modengine2 log seems to run fine until a point, then just stops. For a fresh installation of modengine2 with no mods, my log reaches here;
