[BUG] The app crashes when opening an APK file. #182

The app crashes whenever I try to select an APK file to verify. I have checked AppVerifier's signature and it all checks out. I'm running Android 10 QPKS30. Please, would you provide instructions for me to provide better info?

What apk files did you try to open? Does it happen on AppVerifier's own apk, as a known good value?

I tried to open Obtainium's, YouTube's and even AppVerifier's APK. The error is the same for all of them, although sometimes a system popup appears saying the app is not responding.

What error is it?

I don't think much can be done. This functionality works fine and no one else has reported an issue. I can't reproduce this issue.

Also, please consider getting a new device as soon as you can since your current device is very outdated and doesn't receive security updates. I highly recommend GrapheneOS on a recommended device https://grapheneos.org/faq#recommended-devices to use all of my apps with the best exploit protections on an up-to-date OS that has many privacy and security features.

The error is the crash. My bad it came out ambiguous.

Yeah, I know. It sucks that the problem is software; the hardware still works just fine. Thanks for the recommendation.

Also, Pixel 8 series and up gets 7 years of monthly security and OS updates, so definitely a good choice for longevity.
