Is this style intentional? To me it's quite jarring..

@olejorgenb it is not intentional. Something has made the chat fail to pick up your theme colors. Could you tell me which theme you're using? Does this always happen? If not, do you have any conditions we could use to reproduce it?

When you do shift-shift, Cody: New Chat and open a chat in a panel, is the theme similarly broken?

I use the Intellij Light theme. I am on the old-style Jetbrains UI though.

I have not switched themes at all when the IDE has been running.

(off topic/nit, but I would prefer to not have that big "down" arrow in the chat - obstructing valuable vertical space. I can use the scroll bar or End to scroll to the bottom)

EDIT: restart does not help

Switching theme back and forth resolves the issue. (and the UI becomes a lot pretties :star_struck: )

Still some issues:

With newest PyCharm (new style UI) only the above issue remains. No longer need to switch theme back and forth.

Ugh, that is terrible. Here's how VSCode looks with a light theme:

Here's how JetBrains looks in v7.0.13

We should be using the same background for the context display as in the editor.
