Some progress in e4a3ddb4ee8cf31ad7fa585739476860f445f351. The general concept of one track's output controlling an effect parameter is there, but it needs a lot of tuning. Doesn't help that compression effect is not great in the first place.

Closing this general issue, which covers the routing of information from one component's audio output to another component's control input. Actual sidechaining, in the colloquial sense of ducking one track to get out of the way of another track, is better tracked as a compressor issue.
