Massive FPS drop on Streets, somehow BTR-related #366

General information

Project issue is for: Server/modules?

Expected result: Enjoying the Streets with my usual 60-80 fps

Actual result: Sudden fps drop to 20 for the rest of the raid

I was just messing around when I heard a BTR engine for the first time that raid. Then my fps dropped to 20 and never went back up. I immediately checked the in-game console and found a new exception (the top one on the screenshot attached)

I heard no shots from the area where the BTR was revving at (sewer river extract) and saw nobody when I ran through that area later

Later that raid I ran to a PMC that refused to shoot at anyone, me or scavs, and was shot by a scav eventually. His gun and ammo were alright. He was hiding in the back corner of the movie theater where the BTR should've been before it came to the sewers and my fps drop happened.

How to reproduce

No idea yet

Having looked through the logs, I think the BTR error may be a red herring. Errors in the console aren't cleared between raids, and what I think happened is when you noticed the lag, you looked and saw that error from a previous raid.

Your log is spammed full of: Error|Default|can't find way from position to core cover. from simple pos:(239.8, 3.5, 366.8) coverFrom.CorePointInGame.Position:(185.9, 3.3, 312.4)

Which I believe is the actual root cause. Another user has opened an issue about that as well.

Sadly, this is more than likely a BSG issue, will discuss with Chomp on what we should do

Yeah you're right, I took that screenshot at 4:10, not much after the log spam started, and the BTR error was at 3:42. Sorry for misleading, could've looked at the damn clock before posting
