Can this please be implemented? I heavily customize all my launcher profiles, so having OptiFine automatically create one with all the default settings is incredibly annoying for me. In fact I go through several additional steps when installing OF to make sure it's unable to do this. A simple check-box for this behavior in the installer would be so much nicer. When unchecked it would do everything as normal, but would not create a profile.
Still waiting for this to be implemented...I don't have access to the source code or anything, but I can't imagine this would really be that difficult? It's a single checkbox, to disable a single function of the installer.
1.15 OF is almost here and still no option for this. If this is really so hard to implement, would you please mind explaining why? Because based on what I currently know, this seems like it would be a very easy and fast feature to add. I don't care whether it gets re-enabled every time the installer is run, or if the info text isn't updated to match. I'd just like a way to install OptiFine without the automatic creation of a profile, so I can use my own customized one instead.
just delete the profile after its created
I'm well aware you can delete profiles, but that's a pain to do every single time I install a new version. It'd be much nicer to be able to just untick a checkbox.
I now always use Fabric for my main install (which bypasses the auto profile anyway), but it still amazes me that something as simple as this has not been implemented after all this time.

It hasn't been implemented for a long time because of the new updates; He can't fix/implement quality of life things until the important game-breaking things are fixed, and even then this issue is very old so it can easily be overlooked
Since #1113 was done, the installer makes a new profile every time. That is annoying. It would be better if there was an option to turn it off when installing, so you don't have to delete the profile from the MC Launcher every time you do re-install it.
