1.8.9 Optifine (with forge) crashed while sharing screens on Discord #4185

I don't know what it is with Discord but whenever I stream the application (Minecraft 1.8.9) it always crashes my Minecraft when I try to join a server. By taking all of my mods out and updating everything to the latest version, I've figured out that Optifine is the reason why it crashes. I'm using:

I had the same problem. I fixed it by doing Reset Video Settings (Options > Video Settings > Other). I suspect it has to do with fast render or fast math, but I'm not entirely sure. I found that it crashed pretty consistently when displaying new/uncached player skulls.
