[Bug] Chucks will not load #4554

Open Psycho-Wolf opened 4 years ago

Psycho-Wolf commented 4 years ago

Description of Issue

When playing the game no new chunks are being loaded when the end of the currently loaded chunks is reached. New chunks are only loaded when I change a video setting such as render distance or smooth lighting.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Load into any world of minecraft on 1.15.2 (shaders do not impact the result)
  2. Go the end of the currently loaded chunks To temporarily fix until the next limit is reached:
    • Change your render distance

OptiFine Version

Optifina 1.15.2 pre 30

Installation Method

This issue was tested in two environments: Modded and vanilla For modded I simply moved the optifine jar file into the mods folder for the modpack (HR New Beginnings) For vanilla I ran the jar to install the mod

Fabric/Forge Version

If OptiFine is installed as standalone, you can remove this section. For HR New Beginnings the forge version is 31.2.30

OptiFabric Version

If OptiFine is installed as standalone, or you're using Forge, you can remove this section. Unknown Optifine fabric version for HR New beggininngs

Other Installed Mods

I am using optifine with the most up to date version of HR New Beginnings as found on Twitch/Curseforge

Prior Testing

I have run three tests: One with a modpack (HR New Beginnings), Vanilla, and completely unmodded (not even optifine was installed) When run completely unmodded the issue is not present. When optifine is installed the issue occurs, regardless of it being run along a modpack. This issue also occurs whether or not there is a shader being run.

Also 1.15.2 is already at pre release 30 download a newer version. Also maybe try an older version of Forge (If you can't get it to work). The current 1.15.2 supported Forge version is 31.2.21. Also Fabric and Forge are two different Modloaders use Optiforge instead if you're using a Forge Modpack! Use Optiforge's latest 1.15.2 version if you want to use later Forge versions.

Check my edits to my previous post and then close this and try again.

I don't think a Forge Modpack would ever become a Fabric Modpack it's not real and doesn't make sense.

My appologies, I just realized I made a typo in my original post, I am in fact using and have tested this issue with pre 30. As for using optiforge I will give it a try however and report my results.
