[1.7.10] Startup crash "bad local variable type" #4892

Reopened because I posted completely the wrong crash report the first time. Oops.

When I put any of the 1.7.10 versions in my mod folder, the game seems to load correctly, but then gives me a single frame of the title screen and then crashes.

The game crashed whilst unexpected error Error: java.lang.VerifyError: Bad local variable type Exit Code: -1

Looks like a conflict with one of the installed mods. To find the problematic mod:

split the mods in two groups
test one group and keep the group that crashes
repeat until only one mod except OptiFine is left

Okay, turns out I didn't have to look very hard. It was No Cubes.

One more question, can Optifine create a clear water surface by itself, or do I need to add a shader?
