The XP bar blocks the health and hunger bar #4912

Issue:

Whenever playing on optifine, no matter the version, my health and hunger bar are strangely smaller than the rest of my hotbar and are slightly blocked by the xp bar. When I get off optifine, the issue is gone. No it's not a texture pack issue, I'm using the basic one

Recreation Steps:

All I do is boot up the game with optifine

Affected Versions:

It happens on every optifine version. I've booted up multiple versions and it's happened in each of them.

Installation:

I used the stand alone installer. It only started to have the problem a couple weeks ago, so it's probably not an issue with the installation.

Any Other Mods:

I've tried it with Badlion Client and it had the issue, but the issue happened without Badlion too.

Prior Testing:

This does not happen without optifine

Try changing the GUI Scale option in the video settings and see if that does anything

FeusiX commented 3 years ago

I did. Everything scales accordingly and it stays the same scale compared to everything else

Cart3r1234 commented 3 years ago

Weird.

FeusiX commented 3 years ago

Welp, I logged back in today and it was gone. I guess if it happens again I will bring it up again? Idk

FeusiX commented 3 years ago

So turns out I was being really dumb and I wasn't playing on optifine when I logged back in. The issue is still there :/

FeusiX commented 3 years ago

Should I try reinstalling OptiFine? Idk but it might work, just a little worried it might reset all my settings but that's not too much of a problem.

Cart3r1234 commented 3 years ago

I don't know if that would help, but it probably wouldn't hurt to try it. Before you do, go into your .minecraft folder and make a copy of your settings (options.txt and optionsof.txt should be the names of the files) so that way if you do reset, you can just put the copy of the files with your settings back into the .minecraft folder so you don't lose them.

I reinstalled it but it stayed the same... anything else that could potentially be the issue?

Hello, I had the same problem and what I did was press rshift —> Graphics (at the top) —> scroll all the way to the bottom —> Hotbar Bonus Scale and move the bar to your preference

Hi! Sorry I'm just now responding to this. You said press r-shift... on OptiFine that doesn't do anything (unless I have a key bind wrong) or I tried in Badlion client and that only brought up the game options. Is there some key bind I can look for to help?

theRookieCoder commented 3 years ago

What r-shift does in Badlion is open up the client's settings page. If you go to the graphics tab on that page and scroll down, the hotbar bonus scale slider is there to change. (This doesn't work in optifine although I think its possible to change the hotbar bonus scale by editing the options.txt or the options.txt file manually
