[Bug] Lag spike when loading new chunks #5095

Description of Issue

This issue is more noticeable on certain servers but probably happens in singleplayer too. When traveling throughout the map sometimes there will be a short freeze of the game. I have observed that this happens at the same moment a lot of chunk updates happen and new chunks are loaded. This is a minecraft issue but very annoying on any server which is higher than 1.14.3

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Join a server
  2. Load different parts of the map
  3. Sometimes game will freeze for a short moment

OptiFine Version

Any from 1.14.4 to 1.16.4 (1.14.3 is fine)

Have you tried with Lazy Chunk Loading = ON?

I just tried (even though I tried quiet a few OptiFine settings) with nothing being affected by this setting. Issue is the same and not even reduced. Also I have a few friends who can all confirm the same issue happening on their PCs. This happens on many servers, one where I can experience it near the spawn is on GommeHD.net, when you go from the center straight north, this occurs a few times going back and forth before the big staircase.
