[Bug] Sky Textures still visible in Blindness effect #5097

Description of Issue

When you applied the texture pack which contains sky textures and give yourself the effect of blindness, The sky textures will still be visible. In Minecraft vanilla edition the sky should be completely black, But this is not.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Apply any texture pack which contains sky textures.
  2. Now whenever you got affected with blindness, This bug will occur.

OptiFine Version

Optifine 1.16.4 HD G5 Ultra

The sky in your screenshot looks like generated by shaders.

This is how custom sky with blindness looks like:

Without blindness:

image

The shaders pack can check if the user has blindness and it can render a different sky.

Hmmm...I didn't use any shaders pack at all.

That's weird...

This issue persists into the 1.17.1 builds. It is not a shader issue it is a sky texture issue with optifine.

I see the same in 1.12.2 builds.
