[BUG] [CIT] CIT not working in 1.16.4 #5314

Description of Issue

I tried to make my own Texture Pack with Custom Item Textures and they don't show up

Example .properties file of any item:

items=minecraft:iron_axe
texture=./cleaver.png
nbt.display.Name=ipattern:*Cleaver*

OptiFine Version

1.16.4 G6

Installation Method

Standalone installer

Additional Information

Yes I have Custom Textures turned on

Hey, rename your mcpatcher folder to optifine.. I have the same problem and this works. Sorry for my bad english! :D

It's already called "optifine"

So my path is \assets\minecraft\optifine\cit\items and in the .properties file is:

type=item items=minecraft:iron_axe texture=cleaver.png nbt.display.Name=ipattern:Cleaver
