[bug] Parent folders having special characters including but not limited to ! crash on launch

Description of Issue

title + iris pointed out that it tries to find optifine at F:/_subroot where as the actual folder name is !subroot

create forge installation somewhere under a folder that starts with ! (might effect other characters for all i know)
have optifine in the mods folder and attempt to launch
crash immediately

you can work around this by creating the directory it attempts to search, but the average joe wont care to do that!
