Description of Issue

Sky turns white in snowy biomes during thunder weather when using Optifine for Complementary Shaders with William Wyther's Overhauled Overworld (WWOO).

2022-12-22_00 10 35

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Go to an inner area of a snowy biome/region (eg. snowy taiga; "inner area" is meant in the sense that there are no nearby chunks with regular rain effects during thunder weather, but only chunks with snow during thunder).
  2. Change weather to Thunder weather, Set time to daytime 3a. Sky will now appear white on the top area of the skybox 3b. you may also see this glitched sky effect flicker off/on when lightning occurs (/summon minecraft:lightning_bolt)

OptiFine Version

OptiFine HD U H9, with Forge 43.2.0 OptiFine HD U I1 pre4, with Forge 43.1.52 (Tried with both versions)

Installation Method

(Using MultiMC 5 - Version 0.6.16-3431) Dropped the .jar file for OptiFine into the MC instance's mods folder

Fabric/Forge Version

Forge 43.2.0 Also tried 43.1.52

Other Installed Mods

WWOO-FORGE-3.1.9+1.19.x ComplementaryShaders_v4.6 (in shaderpacks folder)

Prior Testing

Tested with the following setups:

If you've installed using Forge/Fabric:

Additional Information

I checked with the WWOO team and they have advised me this is an OptiFine issue, not an issue with WWOO itself (can confirm as this bug is not reproducible when using Oculus/Rubidium in place of OptiFine)

Sometimes this bug happens with just thunder weather, at other times it happens with both thunder and rain weather. But always only in cold biomes during the daytime with Complementary Shaders + Optifine.

Did some further testing and can further clarify this bug only happens with daytime skies, not at night

Sometimes this bug happens with just thunder weather, at other times it happens with both thunder and rain weather. But always only in cold biomes during the daytime with Complementary Shaders + Optifine.

On day/night cycle enabled, this effect always begins at 4:20 AM in a given day cycle (Not making a joke).
