  2. Play for a short while

Latest release (Pre9 1.21.1)

I have the same issue on OptiFine 1.20.4 HD U I7 with AMD Adrenalin 24.8.1.

I was able to play normally by reverting my drivers back 2 versions, but recently was forced to update drivers for other games and this issue came up again.

What driver version are you running?

Try turning off OPTIONS>VIDEO>PERFORMANCE>RENDER REGIONS. Really hope it helps.

I've been playing with Render Regions turned off since you replied and haven't had the issue at all.

Looks like it's directly tied to Render Regions.
