Issues with project fika when using meds, food/drink #61

Hello!

So when playing with a friend using project fika, the host computer player's meds and food/drink work exactly as you would expect (CMS kits apply a +health modifier after un-blacking a limb, hydration jumps up instantly in inventory when drinking out of raid, etc.), but for a client connected in they don't. For example, the CMS will un-black a limb and give it a single point of health, but it won't give a buff to health regeneration, pain killers apply no pain killer effect, and drinking or eating out of raid just wastes the item (it gets consumed, but doesn't change anything about player stats). I asked around on the project fika discord, and they were pretty sure it was something to do with this mod, so I was hoping that someone else had seen something like this, or might have some thoughts on directions to look in.

Cheers!

I tested this by going into a raid with Fika, ate/drank as both client and host, and it was working fine. Healing bleeds and using surgery kits worked as intended. Was using latest Fika + Realism builds on SPT 3.8.3. Make sure both clients and host have the .dll and Realism folder in Bepinex/plugins, and both clients and host need the server mod folder in user/mods.

To be clear, you were using SPT 3.8.3 with the latest release (https://github.com/space-commits/SPT-Realism-Mod-Client/releases/tag/v1.2.1) noted to work for SPT 3.8.1? I want to be sure because I've tried every combination of upgrades and version numbers I can think of, and am coming down to full re-installs of everything including tarkov at this point.

UPDATE: I went ahead and re-installed everything from scratch and it seems to be working now. I'm still not sure which version of which thing was the issue, but it's working again anyway. If anyone finds this in the future with similar issues, there's some version mismatch somewhere, and in at least my case re-installing SPT and all the various mods from their newest versions seemed to resolve the issue.
