In general, the simulation and high-fidelity simulation for space applications are scattered across different GitHub repositories and projects. The simulation spans the different Moon and Mars terrains expanding different use cases through challenges, perception-related works and AI learning. The simulation platforms are different concerning the above categories. This work tries to bring all the changes together under a single tree using Nvidia's Isaac Sim and Space ROS which can grow over time.
Description
This PR introduces Nvidia's Isaac Sim Simulation into Space ROS project. The purpose of this addition is to allow high-fidelity simulations for multiple scenarios in space applications. This PR sets up the repository as a standalone extension module for IsaacSim and Space ROS. I've included for you a summary of what is available in the linked issue #18. README.md file of the downstream repository should give the images of all simulation environments and robots added to the environment.
