Description

salvage gets a lot of boards and guns which is cool but they could use collectables that have less direct utility. lemme break it down:

Generic Valuables

These are all basic items that, besides a bit of flavor, don't do much. Their one benefit is that they sell for a decent chunk of cash. This makes them an item you can scatter around salvage/dungeons without worrying about balance. This also addresses the issue where salvage struggles to find valuables to bring cargo.

Scrap Items

These items can be refined into materials via an ore processor. The more refined pieces, like gears and whatnot, can additionally be sold for a bit more than their material costs. These serve as ways of acquiring materials in a more environmentally coherent way than simply having crates of materials lying about. They also can be an easy way of filling space since the individual value of each piece of scrap is quite low.

Large Scrap

These serve as ways of introducing basic machine parts as well as materials to salvage crew. They can also yield some of the aforementioned scrap items. They can obstruct progression into dungeons and salvages and thus must be deconstructed with tools.

  • Do the items you listed already have prototypes, or do those need to be created?
  • If they do need to be created, do they need associated sprites as well?
