You cannot remove holofans once they are placed (sans the timer) #28642

Description

Title. If you fuck up your holofan placement, you are forced to wait out the 15 minute timer. There's no way to destroy it at all.

In SS13, you could just hit holofans to break them. This would probably be the easiest & most ideal way to fix it, as it also makes them a lot less abusable.

game theory what if holofans stayed up indefinitely until you remove them with the same fan, and they just used charges instead of a battery so you can have say 6 fans up at once in a single area or remove them and place them to fix problems

if sci is printing them they are going to make microreactor cells too so using a battery is just incredibly annoying for atmos

Chargers are lying around in pretty much every single engineering department, and you can get medium power cells for free at vendors, so if you want the extra charges you can just carry around a couple extra batteries. If you want a more permanent barrier, you can just use an inflatable.

The holofan is for if I need to break a wall and dont want to immediately space the area, or emergency response before repairing it with inflatables or an RCD. I think it's fine where it is right now.
