what should slaving do? should there be a difference between syncing and slaving?
slaving is just another term for syncing i believe.

Master-slave terminology is less popular now due to the connection with racism and slavery. (But it should be fine if it's a malf AI actually enslaving borgs.)
design-discussion had an idea on this:
design-discussion had an idea on this: give borgs a "Sync with AI" toggle in their UI, on by default if on, borg gives the AI camera vision and always has the same laws as the AI if off, borgs behave like they currently do turned off by emagging but not ion storms, would probably be fine if ai will be able to get stormed
I really like this idea
Should Borgs also have a "follow the commands of the station's assigned AI" law when synced? I think of the AI as the head of the silicon department. Is this the end goal of the relationship between AI and station Borgs? Or is there another idea in mind?

such a law wouldn't interact nicely with emags, the intent is that borgs will just agree to do what the AI asks since they're acting in shared interests

well it was said earlier that emagging would desync the borg, and this comment says "only while synced". although im noticing as i write this that you probably mean the action of telling a borg to unscrew and unlock. im assuming here that the "follow the commands of the ai" would be law one and wouldnt interfere with the current law 2, allowing borgs to do this. paragraph paragraph long comment paragraph.
explanatory need for malf + law parity/universal law
