Gas recycler doesnt work #32123

Description

The gas recycler is supposed to take CO2 and NO2 and convert it into Oxygen and other gases. It does not appear to do this. It also cannot be rotated, and does not have bi-directional input/outputs. Its minimum values are also quite high for temp and pressure. Also also its pipe sprite displays incorrectly, but this might be a separate issue with the pipevis system and sprite layers ionno.

Reproduction

Try to use it -> pain.

you dont have enough pressure

it does work you just need to use a burn chamber for heat since heaters are so slow

I only put gas in the one side, what you see is the result of reaching the pressure + temp

Okay, fair enough, its just that once the pressure is reached it immediately passes through and drops the pressure. The levels do feel kind of prohibitive however. image

Even using the burn chamber, the recycler still shuts on and off due to the pressure changing. The recycler is indeed a pain to use and it'd be pretty cool if the pressure needed for it was changed some.

you need a volpump to slow the flow into the recycler so it doesnt use it too fast to keep up with the co2 miner

Okay, after playing a few rounds on Delta V's beloved map Shoko (which makes you use a recycler because there's no o2 miner) I gotta say: This is actually fine. You don't even need to make a strong burn for the burn chamber either. I thought the minimum temp value was higher than 500 but when managed properly it works really well.
