Space dragons can fuck off into space #32201

Open Veritius opened 1 month ago

Veritius commented 1 month ago

Description

They can completely abandon the station and just... have infinite carp spawn, with no counterplay. This only works if they get three rifts fully charged, but that's honestly not hard. They can also ghost and just... play a different role while the station plays tower defense.

lzk228 commented 1 month ago

will carp limit resolve this?

muburu commented 1 month ago

the counterplay is to kill the dragon or destroy the rifts before they charge, if they get all 3 rifts charged they're probably going to destroy the station regardless, leaving into space or not.

Isn't the round literally supposed to END when they succesfully charge 3 rifts?

Binbagg commented 1 month ago

sec and or whole crew is supposed to be able to kill the rifts, they have at most 3 chances to destroy a rift (which will also destroy other rifts), so if they cant then pretty fair they now live among the carp

EthanQix commented 1 month ago

what kind of powergaming loser dragon would just play it safe instead of eating the whole crew ? Oo

Golinth commented 1 month ago

Maybe have the nuke detonate after 3 fully charged rifts? Blob style

Could even flavor it as NT remotely detonating a compromised station.

I had a round where the dragon died and their corpse flew off into space, preventing any revival of eaten bodies

I would say it's part of the problem of things floating into space being always irretrievable (including a nuke disk that had to be respawned manually)

they can also drift into space when crit and just... never actually die.
