there are not a lot such professional atmos players, so cargo don't have millions every round, which i think is quite okay have you discussed that with other maints?
If you watch the replay of that shift (Levi 66590), you'll see an atmos tech continuously filling and sending canisters every minute.
No plasma canister refills were needed and distro output pressure was consistent.
Repeat 100x of me saying it needs removing.
Atmos players when frezon gets nerfed/removed so now they can quit after setting up distro (They have nothing left to do anymore)
i think this is the result of a PR being merged a long while ago that raised the frezon price again, 0.3/mol was a good figure that worked and that i and notafet agreed on; making frezon sell for 0 would be overkill
otherwise, i believe this shift to be an outlier with competent atmos and competent cargo buying enough canisters in time

yes so lower frezon/n2o to 0.3/0.1 $/mol respectively, this should make it balanced
It also doesn't help atmos will probably be forever unintuitive and present massive skill gaps
Like bankrolling the station is not covered in guidebooks or anything like that

no thats why i made an issue, so it can be discussed. there is SOME sort of issue, just idk the best way to solve it
I have 0 atmos experience so someone else chime in, but wouldn't adding gas bounties "fix" both departments on this? It could give more variety on what atmos needs to do, while letting cargo still make money from them without it feeling like an exploit.

an idea for a gas bounty is 28 mols of plasma, referencing the trivial ss13 traitor objective

I didn't realise it was still possible, but I just experienced a round where atmos made cargo literally millionaires.
