as far as I can tell its never worked properly, its just a regular vending machine, it should be moved into its own thing, also there are alot of variants of it and each can hold specific types of items /tg/ smartfridge

It was never implemented when I modified it in my sprite PR I was confused since it was a vending machine it should probably be moved to a storage.

How would you put items inside?

We can add default items inside tho

It should also block atmos, as several /vg/ and /tg/ maps depend on that.

We can add default items inside tho

Storage like a backpack, not storage like a locker. There's different sprite layers to show it filling up with items.

It also was used by Hydro/Kitchen to store ingredients, seeds and food.

SO, I really think this is some important functionality but I'm having a hard time figuring out where to start this one and I've taken up a different task right now.

If someone does have a good way of going about it, please feel free to do so.
