I don't run Autodesk for numerous reasons. Is there any way to get this converted to a format I can import into OpenSCAD (Blows away Autodesk products) such as .stl I tried using an online converter but it just reported errors in the .dwg files.

Issue descriptions are probably not the proper place for subjective comments on software. :) But, as you may know, « DWG is the native format for several CAD packages including DraftSight, BricsCAD, IntelliCAD, Caddie and Open Design Alliance compliant applications » Have you tried using any of those to open and convert the models?

AutoCAD itself allows to easily export to STL, maybe you can install a trial version, if available.

AutoCAD only runs on Windows. I have Linux and FreeBSD.

At worst, you can run DWG TrueView in an emulation of Windows...
