Advanced wood: prioritization modes #27

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Please provide a description of the requested feature:
Add two new modes to the advanced wood pipe: priority and not-priority
selections. Items specified with these two modes would either be sucked first
or last depending on the mode. Otherwise it would behave as a normal wooden
pipe.

What pipe would this effect? (New for new)
Wooden pipe.

Please provide any additional information below.
I will see about adding the code. Check for a patch in an hour or so.

Please provide any screenshots you feel would help demonstrate this
feature.
None really, just would be good to let the cobble accumulate and push the ores
in first rather than mini-stacks of cobble going in all the time while ores
wait (because cobble is in the first slot in the chest).

I like banging on code, so I'm working up a patch idea for this at the minute.
If you're not interested, by all means ignore it, but I hope it'll give you
some ideas.

Hi Zeldo
So here's something I knocked together. It's a fairly big change to the way
wooden pipes work actually, so you may want to think twice about adding this.
It's likely to need code cleanup and copying to the ServerCode bit too, but
it's something that might get you started if you want...

This sounds cool. I couldn't build it because I wasn't sure how your build
environment was set up. I tried to recreate it but it's pretty tough. If you
have any tips I may be able to help a bit more ;)
