Texture mixups #29

What version are you using?
Minecraft: 1.8.1 / BC: 2.2.2
Your add on: API1.9 / IC2: 1.15

Please provide any additional information below.
Been testing out buildcraft for the first time today in SSP. Saw your add on
and decided to use it. Then after seeing in your screen caps that you had it it
installed, I installed IC2. The picture is of my spawn point. I think it might
have something to do with minecraft forge?

P.S. I'm a bit tired (and inexperienced with this) right now so sorry if I
forgot to add something.

Ok, got some sleep. Realized that I'm useless when I'm tired. After some more
testing it is not IC2 related, and I can solve the problem by removing your add
on.

Further testing...still no progress...looks like I'll just be "suffering" with
strange pine trees for now.

Do you have optifine?

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
No I don't, and to save time I'll just try it instead of asking if you think it
would work. Unless your thinking that optifine would be the cause of the
problem. In that case...no.
P.S. Beds and melons are the same way. Kinda trippy when trying to go to sleep.

After playing it again, I found that optifine fixed the obvious problems, but
now there are new ones. Railroad tracks, and all hoe's except for the stone for
some strange reason. That's just to name a few.

I'm also having texture weirdness, put so far only with the top of my bed, and
Unpowered redstone repeaters, and this is after installing Optifine to try and
fix them.

For me the graphical issues appear on coal(id 16), ironore(15), goldore(14) and
bookshelves(47) with a 64x texturepack.
If I use the default 16x texture pack, the texture of Leaves(18-1), pink wool
(35-6), Rail (66), Mushroom (99 and 100), Melon (103) and vines (106) are
overwritten.
(I hope that helps in some ways...)

Following mods are installed:

minecraft.jar:
Modloader
ModloadeMP
Forge
OptiFine 1.8.1_HD_MT_D2
WirelessRedstone

mods-folder:
buildcraft (core, factory, transport) (2.2.5)
ic2 (1.23)
RedPower (core, array, lighting, logic, wireing) (2.0pr3b)

+some submods are installed but I had the same issues before installing them.

PS: May I ask how do you load your textures? I's because I see that you have a
lot of .png files and I wonder why you need every sprite in a seperate file
when they are already together in the block_textures_override.png

Original comment by tempelc...@gmail.com on 19 Nov 2011 at 2:20

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
There are different ways I have to "force" them to load because of the mods I
have to support.

OptiFine: I am forced to override all BC textures with the
block_textures_override.png
HD Patcher: I can combine mine and BC's file dynamically and use that
Regular: Best way by far, I can add tiles anywhere on the sheet and pull from
that.

However, I have never been able to replicate this bug. Can you please post your
mods loading order?

As I have not been able to keep up during my busy weeks, I am closing all
tickets. If your problem still persists in the version I am posting today,
please create a new ticket and sorry for the inconvenience, and I will attempt
to fix all known bugs this week.
