Set up in-door sunlight generation station #182

We are going to set up an in-door sunlight generation station. The station will need a powerful bulb to simulate the sunlight. The goal for this station is to provide enough input power for the solar cell to generate a standard current which the natural sunlight is able to provide.

Record the standard current provided by natural sunlight, need to test

X board working current is tested under 120V 60W 540Lumens bulb. The working current is 12.26 mA.

Solar cell IV plot has been generated:

The result indicates that the current in-door lamp is 2 times powerful compared with the natural sunlight at noon.

After applying a 45-degree hot mirror:

  1. -y board v-solar dropped from 3.8V to 3.5V with current in-door lamp set up.
  2. Single solar cell voltage dropped from 2V to 1.7V with current in-door lamp set up.
  3. Hor mirror is able to protect solar cells from too hot under a 20s test with and without a hot mirror.
