Here is my answer:
In terms of slope, we need to consider what OpenRCT would encompass in that regard. If the NCSO objects would ever get slopes themselves, we wouldn't have to touch those. Another thing would be if Open can/could render the slopes itself with just the two base views and do it automatically which would be something to pose to the devs, perhaps.
I have a feeling OpenRCT2 will not add slope rendering, although they may be more receptive to modifying the NCSO options.
It was discussed what walls to convert. Walls are more straightforward vis-a-vis base blocks, so the question more relates to subtype than shape. Dirt proposed walls, windows, doors, fences, trims, vines, and misc.
Question: are there other types of walls that aren't door animations or skirting the object limit?
Most walls were created using the object editor, which has an absolutely terrible hill rendering algorithm which was forced on every wall piece as far as I can tell. There is supposedly a very easy way to manipulate unsloped walls into sloped walls in a way that looks good. This seems like a fix this project should provide once the tool to generate good slope textures is developed.
