Would a legend on the side showing the logo for a prize booster work? Each sponsor would have the badge below their name like in the graphic. Or am I misunderstanding?
Yea, that's pretty much what I'm thinking. Instead of a legend, what about making a prize booster section that explains what it means? Not sure if there's a better name for it than prize booster, that's what I called it in the sponsorship package.
Another idea for the icon, a blue ribbon? Like for a fair? The medal looks cool too.
Here's a blueprint I created (pun intended). Thoughts?
I really like the blue ribbion, and the color it adds. IMO, I think they looked better below the logo and name.
For the prize booster description, I think the ribbons could go on the left and right of the "Prize Boosters" title?
Agreed, a touch of color is a nice change of pattern. I'll send a modified version tomorrow.
Which of these is closer to where the ribbons should be on either side of the Prize Boosters title?
What exactly goes in the description for the prize booster? In terms of styling should the description be a paragraph description like the way it already is?
I think I like the latter image ( ribbons on the ouside). I think either of them could be improved by using a negative margin/padding to center them a little better vertically. Honestly though, the latter image is good enough so I'd accept a PR with that design as is. I'll get you the content for the description.
Description:
Sponsoring companies can elect to contribute extra funds in order to boost the amount of the main hackathon prizes. For every $125, or prize of equivalent cash value, they receive a blue ribbon to recognize their generous contribution to our community event.
Great Jorb!
Companies can sponsor with multiple prize boosters. Need some sort of icon or tag that indicates the number of prize boosters purchased (either a badge counter, or perhaps the number of times the icon appears).
