I am going to go ahead and assume that, given the problems with Spy and Sabotage Caches, that any rewards that roll on multiple Rotations like Defense, the aforementioned Spy/Sabotage Caches, and likely Acolyte/Sister of Parvos Arcanes, don't actually work.

Survival does work, though, guessing because it "drops" it into your game?

You did get a rotation A reward, it's just a different reward than what your client said.
