Did you try "Root Checker"?
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.joeykrim.rootcheck

I assume you have rooted your phone, right?

I did nothing; I just have the following error message when installing
Droidwall: could not acquire root access | not enough permissions to execute
the "su" command

Accordingly, and following your suggestion, does it mean I just have to run
Root Checker, and then before, re-installing and|or launching again Droidwall
or do I have to follow others steps?

Thanks for your help!

PS What exactly is doing Root Checker?

As the message says, you need a rooted phone to run DroidWall.

Sorry, but I cannot help you on rooting your phone.
You can easily find the instructions searching on the Internet.
