Compass Plugin: Extraneous top/bottom padding #2208

Is it just me or there is a lot of padding for the Compass Plugin? I don't remember if it has always been this way or something changed with the front-end layout. I am seeing this with jdaviz 3.4.dev83+g135ae31c

There needs to be enough padding so that rotation has room.

Does this mean it will solve itself if we decide to remove Canvas Rotation?

we would need to revert the styling change introduced there, but yes.
