WFSS experts have reported that their community would find an intermediate product (somewhere between the rate.fits files and the cal.fits files) to be more useful for their own science and data processing than the current pipeline outputs. We could consider saving the products from JP-898 in MAST by default, or discuss another option (e.g., saving rate.fits files plus assign_wcs and flat_field). WFSS experts should confirm/weigh in.
