Issue JP-3699 was created on JIRA by Tyler Pauly:

Under the data release paradigm, the pipeline will need to specify its current version in a call to the CRDS client, which will then select the appropriate context given the calibration version. This behavior should be overwritten by the presence of an environment variable (CRDS_CONTEXT), if set.

Based on the latest discussion of implementation methods at https://innerspace.stsci.edu/display/CRDS/JWST+Data+Release there are no necessary changes to the 'jwst' product itself, and changes are confined to the CRDS client. Closing ticket.
