Issue RCAL-872 was created on JIRA by Eddie Schlafly:

Improve support for image input in the simulator.

Use GalSim's RealGalaxyCatalog feature.  Allow users to specify which real galaxies they want and where in the image they want them, possibly with shifts, rotations, and shears.
