Moved from ejeschke/ginga#637 since this might require jwst as a dependency, on top of asdf and gwcs, or at the very least some customization (until SCSB can separate out datamodels from the pipeline).

Bumping this, as the widget code is still awaiting stakeholders' reviews.

Haven't heard back from stakeholders. Maybe nothing else is needed at this point but I'll just keep this open for now.

Just going to close this, since still no complains. People can open new issues if it doesn't work.
