Fix compiler warnings #120

No actual changes here, just re-arranging and underscoring unused variables so the compiler is happy.

🙏 could we please get a new release for this. The code being pulled in by use … is causing compiler warnings in our build, and failing because we use --warnings-as-errors.

Thank you for maintaining such a useful project.
