Build HomeServer without federation and matrix.org? #2866

How to create a completely self-sufficient matrix server, including all the conveniences such as (push?) notification to all devices (web, Android, iOS), audio/video calls and conferences, without federation and contact with the matrix.org server?

Doing the default install without federation will do that.

@2greatsecret yes because federation doesn't have anything to do with push notifications.

Do the normal setup but when you get to the part about federation do this - https://github.com/spantaleev/matrix-docker-ansible-deploy/blob/master/docs/configuring-playbook-federation.md#disabling-federation
