Contributor: Camille Thomas, camille.thomas@ttu.edu Report Description: General report highlighting outreach and marketing of events Sample Text:

This year, the library hosted two events for Open Access Week. Two were in person events discussing open access with faculty and graduate students. Open Access Week is an international week of action that takes place all over the world in late October. This year it will be held from October 24 - 30, 2016. SPARC (the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition) announced that the theme for 2016 will be "Open in Action". Each event on TTU campus went over the threshold concepts of open access for clarification, with the exception of the Upload-a-thon. Initiatives were promoted via print flyers mailed to each department mailbox, via panelists to their respective departments, 3 TechAnnounce notifications, through campus listservs ( flyers and text sent to the Teaching, Learning and Professional Development Center, the Ethics Center, The Graduate School, Office of the Vice President of Research, STEMCORE, Law Library and CALUE). It was also promoted through Vice President of Research and Worldwide eLearning newsletter posts.>
