Hi all there's a lot of projects getting underway in the rooms this morning, so we could aim to get together after lunch on this one. Please feel free to start sharing links, ideas, questions here in the meantime! I'm going to start with this clip about the policy process. When the government wants something to happen, how long might it take? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XeQin9abx4 (from TV Show, the Hollowmen)
@fionabradley I'm interested in sitting in with you on this after lunch.
@fionabradley Hi, I'm interested too. Let us know please what room should we meet after lunch. Thanks!
I'm really interested in sitting in on this after lunch as well! Let us know where :)
Hi all, we'll meet during session 3, I think that starts at 3:30. Probably in the Goethe. This will accommodate those who want to keep working on a challenge from the morning until that time. Thank you all for your interest and patience!
Hey @Fionabradley, just clarifying that you haven't started working on this yet? Eunice is interested in joining!
I think the plan is that we will start this in the post-330 break
Hi @lorrainechu3n that's right, we'll get going in the session after this. Bring energy!
Ok, Let's go with the Goethe room on the left hand side

http://www.oecd.org/science/ Multilateral organizations, Rankings and assesmente measures are the maint point to discuss national Policy in terms of OA
Thank you! These are good example of policies that can be referred to when advocating at national level. Does anyone know of policies in other regional groups? There is some good stuff in the Africa Union 2063 Agenda from memory, but not sure about ASEAN.
Huge thanks to Rosie Higman for typing up our discussion. The output from this do-a-thon is the google doc, which describes the main points in the policy cycle. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Adc5fOGIpNMSm99Iwg5ltyzJL5JKeZjIg504bvQYnxA/edit
