Description

OpenCon Cascadia will be hosted in Portland, Oregon on March 23 and 24, 2018. Our high-level vision is to build the entire conference around two goals/themes – we want to prioritize actionable educational and advocacy programing, and we want to explore the relationships between open research, diversity, and inclusion in deep, critical, and meaningful ways.

P.S. Our definition of PNW is loose. Pretty much, physically the event will be most accessible to people living in the Western U.S, but everyone is welcome.

What are we working on during the do-a-thon? What kinds of support do we need?

We want to get our planning and brainstorming started. We have lots of questions about how to realize and make more concrete the fuzzy vision above.

How can others contribute?

Will add a bit more in a moment - but big thing is IDEAS!

This post is part of the OpenCon 2017 Do-A-Thon. Not sure what's going on? Head here.
