gutam2000 commented 6 years ago

Good initiative.... We need to work for OA more in this region. We may merge the SAARC OA initiative with this and take forward along with Asian OA of COAR.

kshitizkhanal7 commented 6 years ago

Thanks for starting. Let's start by creating a strategy document. We will have something more to talk (and do) during the Asia Regional Meeting in December in Kathmandu.

kshitizkhanal7 commented 6 years ago

I will start working on the document linked above.

gutam2000 commented 6 years ago

Please see this link https://github.com/gutam2000/oapolicy and add it into the project.

kshitizkhanal7 commented 6 years ago

Great, Sridhar! Can you make an separate organizations on Github for OA Asia and OA SAARC? It will be more logical to make repos for strategy documents in those organizations than in Nepal. I can also do it if you want.

gutam2000 commented 6 years ago

@kshitizkhanal7 I am not well versed with github. if you can make it separate for OA Asia and OA SAARC,, it would be great.

kshitizkhanal7 commented 6 years ago

@gutam2000 I have created the organizations and gave you full admin privileges. Please add more members. I will start repos for foundation/strategy docs.

https://github.com/sparcopen/doathon/issues/71 Policy draft of OA India. Comment from @Daniel-Mietchen on additional considerations.

kshitizkhanal7 commented 6 years ago

@InquisitiveVi thanks for the reference. I have added those comments to the doc we are working on. We need to work on the structure of the document. Add your input and invite more people to OA Asia and OA SAARC github organizations.
